Green: a more popular colour for China in 2008

China.org.cn reports that “Looking back at 2008, an eventful year that witnessed a massive snow disaster, the deadly May 12 earthquake, the success of Beijing Olympics and Paralympics, and a worldwide financial tsunami, “green” was a keyword that has run through almost every major event.”
Numerous examples of changes in government policy and private enterprises are cited. China.org.cn also reports an increased awareness in ordinary citizens about the environment in general.
