Photographing Climate Change: The Proof is in the Pictures

World Weather Post - Thursday, January 1, 2009, 9:00

These pictures are extremely revealing about the reality of climate change. The Matterhorn in 1960 on the left, and in 2006 on the right. Glaciers are melting today. Not 30-40 years from now.

Double Exposure has a series of before-and-after photographs, side by side and animation, showing many examples of the disappearing glaciers around the world.

Glaciers generally evolve very slowly over a long period of time, i.e. hundreds and thousands of years. That is why the rapid changes as witnessed by these photographs are alarming and constitute an undisputable proof of climate change.
