Tropical Depression Forms In Caribbean Sea

"The National Hurricane Center's 5-day forecast track of Tropical Depression #11 as of 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4th, 2009."As reported on CBS, “The National Hurricane Center is now tracking a new tropical depression which his expected to become a tropical storm later Wednesday or Wednesday night. TD #11 has formed in the Southwestern Caribbean Sea which has prompted Tropical Storm Warnings to be posted in parts of Colombia and Nicaragua.

The government of Colombia has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the Islands of San Andres and Providencia. There’s also a Tropical Storm Warning for the entire eastern coast of Nicaragua.

At 10:00 a.m. the center of TD #11 was located near latitude 11.6 north and longitude 82.0 west or about 65 miles south-southwest of San Andres Island and about 125 miles east-southeast of Bluefields, Nicaragua.

The depression is moving toward the northwest near 8 mph and this general motion with a decrease in forward speed is expected over the next couple of days. On the forecast track the center of the depression will be approaching the east coast of Nicaragua Wednesday evening.”
