South Africa: Winter will be back with a vengeance this weekend!!

SAWDIS - Thursday, July 21, 2011, 3:45

The pleasant weather over the past few weeks in the Western Cape is to change rapidly in the next few days with forecasts of heavy rain, high swells, cold weather and even the possibility of snow on the high mountains of the Western /Eastern Cape and Kwazulu Natal.

Rain is expected to fall along the Western Cape  coastline from tomorrow onwards, however it is still to early to predict how much rain.  Models are currently showing that heavy showers can be expected on Monday 25 th and Tuesday 26 th along the Western, Eastern and Kwazulu Natal coastlines.  Please note this is only a prediction and it might change at any time.  The SAWDIS will keep our readers and observers posted on how this system is developing over the next few days.

In the mean time it would be wise to get those winter woolies and blankets ready as you surely will need them by this weekend.
