Lee has been crawling like a snail, unleashing flooding rain, cutting power to thousands and spawning several tornadoes along the Gulf coast.

With the ground saturated, winds have caused damage like downing trees and power lines.
Several trees were downed around Adams County, Miss., due to the combination of saturated ground and high wind gusts.
The gusty onshore winds have contributed to some coastal flooding, and more coastal flooding can occur with a storm surge of 3-5 feet expected across the southeastern Louisiana coast and Alabama coast.
Coastal flooding occurred 2 miles northeast of Hollingers Island, Ala., with 1-2 feet of water covering a parking lot at a boat launch area.
Rough seas on the Gulf have been closing beaches this Labor Day weekend as far away as South Padre Island, Texas.
Besides ruining plans for the Labor Day weekend, the rough surf has caused some damage. A 26-foot sailboat broke lose from its mooring and went over the sea wall near Christian Pass Harbor from Lee’s winds and rough seas early on Saturday morning.
