Evergreen, COLORADO – Up to two feet or more of snow is expect along the Front Range Mountains / Foothills of Colorado west of Denver by Saturday morning as a major winter storm brings near blizzard conditions to northeastern Colorado. Many schools and businesses are closed today and major highways (Interstates 70 & 76) and roads east of Denver to Kansas are closed due to blizzard like conditions. Hundreds of flights have been cancelled in / out of Denver International Airport.
The majority of the heavy snow should ease by tonight leaving record breaking snowfall for the Denver metro area of close two feet in some places.
